Madeleine Thomas, DPT, CMTPT

Madeleine is a Virginia Beach native. She completed her undergraduate degree at James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA, where she also ran varsity track and cross country all 4 years, graduating in 2018. She received her doctorate of physical therapy at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA in 2021.

Following graduating PT school, Madeleine returned to Virginia Beach to work in a private outpatient clinic serving a wide variety of patient populations including orthopedic cases, neurological disorders, veterans, and geriatrics. She worked there for 2 years and became the lead physical therapist at her clinic. Due to her husband being in the Navy, they were relocated to Surf City, North Carolina. She practiced in a small outpatient clinic where she had the opportunity to work with all of her patients 1 on 1. She specializes in combining manual treatments with movement and exercise to optimize function and outcome. She is a huge believer in "movement is medicine" and incorporates this widely in her treatments.

When not working as a PT, Madeleine enjoys spending time at the beach, hiking, running, and being active with her husband and 2 year old goldendoodle. She is new to the San Diego area and is looking forward to the beautiful weather and seeing what the West Coast has to offer :)
